Slower than you want. Most owners see nothing for the first two weeks, small changes between weeks three and four, and the clearest difference somewhere around six to eight weeks. Joint support builds. It does not switch on.

The difference
Turmeric is only useful for the curcuminoids in it. Boswellia is only useful for the boswellic acids. Raw powder contains a small fraction of either, which is why the amount on the front of a tub tells you almost nothing.
Built Like This™ uses extracts standardised to 95% curcuminoids and 65% boswellic acids, alongside 500mg of glucosamine, 300mg of MSM and 150mg each of green-lipped mussel and chondroitin.

01 · Builds the cartilage
The pairing every joint formula starts with, and the most widely studied in dogs. Glucosamine is a building block for cartilage. Chondroitin helps that cartilage hold water, which is what gives a joint its cushioning under everyday movement. Vitamin C is in there because the body can’t build collagen without it.
02 · Keeps it moving
The soft tissue around the joint, which is half of what makes movement look easy. MSM is a sulphur source for connective tissue, at 300mg per chew. Green-lipped mussel is a New Zealand shellfish with published research in dogs for mobility and joint comfort.
03 · Eases the stiffness
For the mornings after naps and the day after a long walk. The fish oil delivers 45mg of EPA and 30mg of DHA. The turmeric and boswellia are standardised extracts at 95% curcuminoids and 65% boswellic acids, so the number on the label is the number doing the work.

Depends on the dog. A four year old Labrador that launches off the sofa twice a day is putting more through its joints than a twelve year old that sleeps for a living. Breed, size, activity and any past injury all count. Nothing about starting early is wasted.

Yes, and they matter here. The glucosamine is shellfish-derived, green-lipped mussel is shellfish, and there’s marine fish oil and salmon in both the flavour and the base. The chondroitin is bovine. It also contains oat flour. There’s no chicken, corn, soy or wheat, which is worth knowing if your dog has landed on a poultry sensitivity in old age.
A few extra usually means a loose stool for a day. If a dog empties the tub, call your vet, mainly because of the oil content.
