Coats are slow. Nothing much in the first two or three weeks, because the fats are still building up. Weeks three to six is where most owners start noticing less fur on the sofa and a coat that feels different under the hand. Shine is usually last.
Less than you're expecting. It's a soft chew rather than a punctured capsule, so the salmon oil stays inside it until your dog eats it. It isn't odourless, but it won't scent the room or your hands the way a pump bottle does.
It brings the heavy shedding down, which is the part filling your hoover. Normal shedding carries on, because a healthy coat is always turning over. The bigger change for most owners is underneath: less dry, less flaky, and a coat that holds onto more of itself.

Omega-6 is what the skin barrier is built from. It's the fat that holds water in, and when it runs short, skin dries out, flakes, and the coat goes dull.

01 · Calms the skin
Two omega-3 sources instead of one. The salmon oil brings 98mg of EPA and 59mg of DHA, the two most directly tied to settling irritated skin. The flaxseed adds another 58mg of ALA from a completely different source.
02 · Seals the barrier
Roughly 50mg of linoleic acid, the omega-6 that skin is actually built from. It’s the fat that holds water in, and the reason a dry, flaky coat often isn't short of fish oil at all.
03 · Builds the new coat
The oils work on the skin. This group works on the hair growing out of it, which is why shine takes longest to show up. Biotin is the one owners already know by name, here at a real 0.5mg rather than a trace.

Not much to see, and that's normal. Fatty acids build up gradually. They don't switch on overnight.
This is usually where owners start noticing. Less fur left behind. Skin that looks calmer. A coat that feels softer to the hand before it looks any different.
Shine is the last thing to arrive, because it needs new hair to grow in. After that it is about holding the coat through the things that used to dull it. Seasonal blowouts, dry indoor air, a stretch of stress.
Every dog is different. Give it six weeks, then run your hand down their back and see whether it feels like it used to.
Nobody buys a skin and coat chew because they care about "the lipid barrier."

Three to six weeks for most dogs, and shine is usually last because it needs new hair to grow in. Texture changes before appearance does, so run your hand down their back before you judge it with your eyes.

What most owners see change first is the skin underneath, which gets less dry and less flaky, so the coat holds together better while it sheds. If your dog is losing fur in patches or has bald spots, that's a vet visit rather than a chew.
It can, and most people find it easier to keep up. A pump bottle gives you more oil for the money, but it also gives you a fishy fridge, a slick in the bowl your dog can eat around, and a dose you are guessing at. This is 200mg of salmon oil plus two other fat sources, at the same amount every day.
Less than a liquid does. The oil stays inside a soft chew rather than in an open bottle, so you're not scenting your hands or the fridge shelf. It isn't completely neutral, and dogs tend to consider that a feature.
